Beneficiaries of the Fête Chinoise signature event

Fête Chinoise has been committed not only to the mission of creating the highest quality experiences of Chinese culture in Canada and telling meaningful stories for our community, our team has also dedicated the proceeds of many annual projects since 2015 to support charitable organizations.

We have also supported numerous other charities and foundations with media and design sponsorships to help their causes. Some highlights below.

2022

Sick Kids Hospital Foundation

Our editorial team and event committee would like to send our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors and supporters for your contributions, which made our 2022 campaign a huge success. Together, we spread love + hope with our limited edition keepsake tin and heart-shaped mooncakes in support of SickKids Foundation. In a year of war and racism, we dedicated donations to the Herbie Fund and the Ukrainian Paediatric Assistance Fund, because "where you live (or come from) shouldn't determine whether you live".

In 2022, Fête Chinoise donated and raised a total of $50,000 net to SickKids Foundation, designated to the Herbie Fund and the Ukrainian Paediatric Assistance Fund.

2022

Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation

To accompany the launch of the 7th Edition of Fête Chinoise Magazine: Perspective, we partnered with Saint Germain to do a set of special edition boxed set of festive cookies for Lunar New Year during the pandemic. $5000 was raised and directly donated to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation (now known as Oak Valley Health).

2021

Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation

Presented by HSBC Bank Canada, this campaign helped raise funds and awareness for mental health, which there had been a great need for due to pandemic depression and anxiety, racism and many other challenges that people faced. Especially in the Chinese community, this subject matter has been swept under the rug or seen as taboo in the past, so this is a refreshing way to spread the love, and pair together a vibrantly designed campaign with this important cause.

Whether it's training nurses in Ghana, improving cancer care for children in the Caribbean, or bringing children to The Hospital for Sick Children for procedures not available in their home country through the Herbie Fund, SickKids is realizing its vision: Healthier Children. A Better World.™

In 2020, Fête Chinoise was able to donate $25,000 of Silent Auction proceeds to SickKids Hospital Foundation.
