Elegance in Bloom
The base flower of this arrangement was an easy pick for Amy Saleh of Pink Twig — peony, the national flower of China. She magically composed auspicious colour tones into the arrangement with the use of the blush peony, purple lilac, fuchsia snaps, fuchsia freesia, Italian ruscus, green pitt, salal and aspidistra.

Modern x Ming
Jackie O Floral Affairs & Event Design chose the blue and white Chinese ceramic pot for a nod to tradition, and the yellow peony for the rarity of the bloom, which is often seen in classical paintings. The coxcomb, which has an exotic coral look, and the flexi grass in circular form represent continuity.

As sweet as honey
Stemz designed this bouquet around a main focal flower: the blush peony. In Chinese culture, peonies are considered a symbol of peace, as well as richness, opulence, and beauty. To see them grow from a small bud into a spectacular lush bloom symbolizes a long and happy marriage.

Majesty of The Dragon
Designer Lidia Tacconelli of Fiori Floral designed this piece as an interpretation of the fire of the Dragon — the luscious rich colours of red, burgundy and deep purple, flowing from the head to the tail onto the left side. This is a statement piece. Dramatic, full of energy and movement, worthy of its name. The flowers in this arrangement include burgundy peonies, deep purple lilac, red and deep red carnations, burgundy asparagus fern, and heuchera leaves.

Emperor of Flowers
Opening Night Flowers mixes dark luscious hues with creamy pastels for a look that is both regal and romantic. It features peonies, “the Emperor of flowers”, which represent prosperity, and orchids for the virtue of integrity. This composition brings together both masculine and feminine elements to create a feeling of balance that is central to Chinese spirituality and culture. Red and yellow evoke the traditional values of fortune, celebration and happiness, with touches of purple representing spiritual awareness and strength. Bold and dramatic use of colour and texture bring together historical and cultural influences in a fresh and contemporary style.
Opening Night Flowers
