Lin-Sanely Good Advice: An Intimate Dinner with Invisalign Brand Ambassador Jeremy Lin

Fête Chinoise was honored to attend a dinner hosted by Align Technology, Inc., the pioneer and market leader in clear aligner orthodontics with its revolutionary Invisalign® system. The exclusive VIP dinner event took place at R&D Restaurant in Chinatown, Toronto, home to Master Chef Eric Chong’s innovative contemporary Chinese cuisine. Jeremy Lin was celebrated as the newest member of the Invisalign Smile Squad and launched the Lin-Sanely Good Advice brand campaign, which aims to inspire and develop youth.
The dinner on July 6th brought together members of the Canadian Chinese media and local community and showcased Align Technology's commitment to transforming smiles for millions of individuals worldwide (15 million to date!).
Jeremy Lin, the renowned professional basketball player and role model for many Asian-North American youth,expressed his deep affection for Toronto because of its diverse and inclusive community, which he enjoys everytime he is in town. He also shared about his personal journey of growing up with his brothers and his own experience with teeth adjustment. He has actually been through it twice, and candidly admitted to missing some of the routines on his first round which caused him to give a ring to Invisalign again. Lin revealed that he has recently embarked on a full treatment with Invisalign, citing the convenience it offers amidst his hectic basketball schedule and how much a smile can transform one’s confidence. Invisalign's cutting-edge technology allows him to visit any clinic worldwide equipped with Invisalign technology for scanning and adjustments, eliminating the need to be tied to a single location.

Jeremy also shares why this brand partnership is one that he chose, centered around youth and buidling self confidence. During the dinner, he shared about the impacts of the pandemic and his observations of mental health struggles in young people peaking during the period following Covid. A huge part of mental health is how someone feels and sees themselves, and the connection between a beaming smile and self esteem are directly correlated. This is why he can get behind the mission to transform smiles around the world; a smile is truly a universal language in human relationships. Other factors that impact confidence are of course a strong support system of people who care being around you, which Jeremy mentioned he was so thankful for. In the audience was also his manager and team, who smiled as he shared about the people in his life. He also talked about faith, which is a topic he advocates for frequently, and has in the past spoken very publicly about at church events during his tenure in Toronto as a member of the Toronto Raptors several years ago.
