Create your own ceramic puddle plate with floral and dragon designs! Freda Lin from Bad Potter Ceramics is hosting a pottery workshop at the Chinese Canadian Museum where you can create your own original piece and explore hand-building techniques. Open to all ages and levels of pottery experience.

The cost of the workshop includes 5 lbs of clay, decals, all required tools and materials, firing and finishing by the artist, artist fees, and special pricing on a visit to the Chinese Canadian Museum.

10,000 Dreams: A Celebration of Asian Choreography

The Kennedy Center is holding a weeklong festival to recognize Asian and Asian American choreographers. The festival lineup includes two mixed repertory programs and a special tribute performance of works by Asian choreographers, with a special focus on the late legendary choreographer Choo San Goh. Renowned Chinese-Canadian principal ballet dancer Chan Hon Goh will present a special repertoire of the iconic work ‘Ballade’ with talented dancers of the National Ballet of China, to commemorate her late uncle.

Benevolence Hall by Kevin Matthew Wong

Benevolence Hall is a multi-disciplinary installation that invites visitors to reflect on their journeys and relationships to Canada through the lens of the Hakka (客家 / guest family) people. Created by Kevin Matthew Wong, a Hakka Chinese-Canadian theatre creator and video artist, this immersive experience includes a reading room, a short documentary film, and a custom video installation titled “Moon Gate."

It is part of "The Reset" project by Toronto History Museums featuring ten new media installations produced through the 2024 mentorship program led by Toronto-based multi-disciplinary artist Yung Yemi.

Free admission, opens Wednesday to Sunday 11 am to 5pm.
